The original energy gel product, Carb-BOOM!, was created by the Cooney brothers (John, Brian & Daniel) in 1995- who saw the need for an energy food product for athletes that was easier to eat and digest than energy bars.
In
February 2000, John Cooney teamed up with Maggie Reichwein, and together
they founded Carb-BOOM, Inc, a company whose mission is to lead with it's
values, by having a social conscience. This philosophy is mirrored in
Carb-BOOM's 2005 marketing plan, which is entitled, “Be Real!”.
In sports nutrition, many customers may not be elite or world class athletes,
and despite that fact, these “weekend warriors” are living
out their own passions and competitive dreams. Because of this philosophy,
Carb-BOOM is 100% committed to athlete education and sponsorship, helping
athletes realize their personal dreams.
