Isotonicity of ISOSTAR:
ISOSTAR Hydrate & Perform is isotonic, meaning that its mineral and carbohydrate concentrations are in balance with those found in the bloodstream, thus providing optimum fluid and energy delivery.

After more than 20 clinical trials, scientists have determined that the isotonic formulation of ISOSTAR Hydrate & Perform does in fact provide optimum energy and fluid delivery.

With a carefully calculated delivery of sodium and potassium, Isostar drives your thirst while it helps restore the key electrolytes lost in sweat.
With two citrus flavours, Isostar provides a sweet sensation tailored to the athlete's taste preferences during exercise.
With a tested mixture of sugar and maltodextrin, Isostar delivers carbohydrates in a manner that helps to restore muscle glycogen stores without triggering a heavy insulin release.
Without carbonation, Isostar sports drinks deliver hydration, carbohydrates, and electrolytes precisely according to the best recommendations of the most thoroughly experienced sports nutritionists in the world.

Three steps to optimal performance:

In a clinical study conducted at Harokopio University (Athens) in 2001, it was confirmed that ISOSTAR Hydrate & Perform, taken as recommended, improves sports performance and makes athletes feel great.

For you to get all the benefits of ISOSTAR Hydrate & Perform, our scientists have determined that you need to follow three steps.

Step one: drink 250-300 ml of ISOSTAR Hydrate & Perform before you start your sports activity.

Step two: bring one or two bottles of ISOSTAR Hydrate & Perform with you while you are exercising (particularly if you are running, cycling, or cross-country skiing), and take frequent sips. During sustained physical exercise (not just before and after), drink between 150 to 250 ml every 15 to 20 minutes

Step three: after you have finished your sporting activity, you must re-hydrate completely so that your body can replenish itself. In order to do so, you should drink at least 250-500 ml within the first hour after finishing.

Electrolytes

Your body is prepared to disperse the heat of your exercise with a good sweat potential.

This means that you will lose sodium and chloride - key electrolytes - in your perspiration. This will need to be replaced, and an isotonic solution containing sodium actually drives the desire to drink.

Isostar sports beverages are designed to fulfil these needs.
